I’m a doctoral student with a special interest in narrative methodologies. Specifically, I’m interested in the ways in which narratives create links between self and other and are implicated in processes of subjectivity, agency, as well as in personal and social change. In my doctoral research I examine womens’ self presentation in YouTube video blogs (vlogs). What constitutes this self that is being broadcast by female amateur videographers who answer the call issued by YouTube’s slogan “Broadcast Youself”? This is a question I strive to answer.
